I was promised to feel reborn and enlightened after listening to this album as a whole. The experience is close: I feel cleansed and at peace. The entire Part II: Metaflesh is my favourite on the album, due to the density of emotions and climaxes. Part III is very relaxing, helps to let go of thoughts and things.

Striking and hypnotic, listening through Geister is a rugged and immense journey. The album is brimming with ceremonial darkness from the moment it starts. The intensity of each track is bookended with ritual, and this immersive factor keeps me utterly entranced by the story being told. Geister still feels frigid and dangerous, and I end up captivated every time I listen.

This music creates the bitter flavour of apocalypse, gradually growing the feeling of something terrible would happen right now. Changing from mysterious to menancing, the melodies totally swallow your vision, your mind and perception. The music not only creates pictures before your inner eyes, but also moves deeply, sometimes to tears... Both the art and the music draws the pictures of terrible human-induced disasters, leaving only emptiness and ash behind.
